David Feng lives a multilingual, multicultural life, at home and in his professional involvements. He speaks 5+5 languages (fluently: English, Chinese, German, French, Italian + knowledge of other 5) and read linguistics and applied linguistics for his post-graduate studies. He is committed to making Beijing a multilingual world city and improving China’s competency in the English language.

David has been actively involved in improving the foreign-language environment for the Chinese capital, especially since the 2008 Summer Olympics.

Long before China rolled out its visa-free policy, David saw how popular High Speed Rail was in China, and took part in creating a whole new nationwide standard for English-language service for the Chinese railways.
